The “Limbecker Platz” in Essen puts an exclamation point on architecture and urban planning. The idea behind the facade design is to create the impression of a party dress that makes a broad sweep around the woman wearing it.

One of the striking features of the facade, which was designed by munich’s star architect Professor Gunter Henn, is the integral “sequin arches”, which make the building stand out both during the day and at night.
